A special thanks to Sauk
Centre Herald . You are helping to bring SCTV into the homes of
those in the surrounding communities.
Watch the SCTV Bulletin Board for the great ads
John Wiese Ford has running. They combine their radio commercials with
a static slide by their own graphic designer. These slides rotate daily.

The
Adam and Shalon Corner
Special news for you, written by your favorite SCTV
guys
Last month, we had lots of interesting interviews and guests,
and hits to our website were at an all-time high! One of our more popular
shows was "Fill Your Freezer with Bars" with local host, Renee
Blonigen. Renee showed us how to make TEN different varieties of bars,
all of which are posted on
our website.
We were able to capture a special moment in history when we interviewed
Sister Justina Bieganek about the Orphan Train, which she rode on in the
early 1900's. Between 1854 and 1929 an estimated 200,000 orphaned, abandoned,
and homeless children were placed on the Orphan Train to travel throughout
the US in search of a good home. This period of mass relocation of children
in the United States is widely recognized as the beginning of documented
foster care in America. If you missed this special interview, we do have
DVDs available.
The City of Melrose is celebrating 150 years, and we were fortunate enough
to interview Roger and Jean Paschke, board members of the Melrose Area
Historical Society. Logan Friess conducted the interview in our new show,
"Around the Corner", and did a wonderful job.
We have also begun filming the Eden Valley City Council meetings. The
Eden Valley City Council meets once a month, and we will be airing their
meetings every Thursday. This is in addition to the Sauk Centre City Council
meetings that we have been filming and airing for the past couple years.
Again, we’d like to send out a great big SCTV THANK YOU
to all our Star Supporters. It is because of you that we are able to keep
our channel such an exciting asset to the surrounding communities.
