Special news for you, written by your favorite SCTV guys

This month, Santa Claus made a special visit to our studio in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. He was kind enough to answer phone calls live on air from children (and children and heart) around our viewing area. Santa was very pleased with the amount of good little girls and boys who called in and hopes everyone had a very Merry Christmas.

We have been working on a very special series on Journeys with Jenny featuring veterans from foreign wars in American history. These wars include World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and also the current war on terrorism. Our honored guests were gracious enough to visit our studio and speak about their first hand accounts on their particular war. Be sure to check our program schedule in January for airing dates.

Jenny also interviewed Gail Schlicht from Melrose, who makes fish decoys out of wood. This is a wonderfully interesting episode in which Gail tells us how they're made, shows off her incredible talent, and how you can use them to catch your next big fish.

Just in time for the new year, we will be filming five new Getting Healthy with Deb shows. Getting fit or losing weight is always a popular resolution, so if it's one of yours, you won't want to miss these shows!

Our fantasy football show, Gridiron Circus continues to be a very popular show on SCTV19. Check out a few of our recent Gridiron Circus video clips available for viewing on our website.

SCTV Tip of the Month:
Most of you have heard of (and maybe even own) a tripod for your camera. If you shy away from using it because it's too big and bulky, another great option is to get a monopod. A monopod is like a tripod, only with one leg instead of three. Of course, you have to hold it upright at all times, but it is ideal for tight or crowded spots. After you're finished filming, it makes a great walking stick!
