We have been working on a very special series on Journeys with Jenny featuring veterans from foreign wars in American history. These wars include World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and also the current war on terrorism. Our honored guests were gracious enough to visit our studio and speak about their first hand accounts on their particular war. Be sure to check our program schedule for airing dates.

What's the difference between Mini-DV, Mini-DVD, and HDV?
The Mini-DV is a small cassette tape that records in digital format. You can fit about 2 hours of footage on the tape. The cost is around $2.00-$4.00 a tape but can be reused up to 10-15 times before losing quality. This is the format we use at SCTV19.
The mini-DVD is a small DVD format that is also digital, and on only store about 30 min of footage on one disc. Once formatted to play outside the camera, it can no longer be recorded on again. The Mini-DVD costs between $1.50 - $3.75 per disc.
With the HDV, the camera footage is stored on a hard drive directly on the camera. HDV is digitally formatted, and can hold up to one hour of footage at a time. The disadvantage to this kind of format is that in order to play back your footage, it must first be downloaded to a computer and then burned to a DVD.
