Special news for you, written by your favorite SCTV guys

This month, we were honored to film the presentation of diversiCOM's Teacher of the Year Award. For 2007, the award went to Sue Pundsack, a 6th grade teacher at St. Mary's Elementary in Melrose, MN. We captured the emotional ceremony, her humble reaction to the news, and kind words from those who know and love her. For more details about Sue's award, click here.

This past month, we had the privilege of interviewing Carol Moorman and Christina Thomas. Carol Moorman is a staff writer for the Sauk Centre Herald. On SCTV Live Prerecorded, Carol humbly told us all about the prestigious award she won for one of her photographs as well as what it’s like to be a writer for a newspaper. We found that video and print have a lot of similar aspects to them, and learned a lot from Carol.

Logan Friess did a wonderful job interviewing Christina Thomas from Sauk Centre on "Around the Corner." Christina competed in the singing competition, “Colgate Country Showdown” and is now working on a CD in Nashville. We got a preview of her beautiful voice when she sang for us on the show. We have confidence that she will be very successful and were thankful to be a small part in her rise to fame.
